Live Blood Screening Sunshine Coast

See Your Health From the Inside Out

Have you ever wondered what your blood actually looks like under a microscope? At True Vitality, Live Blood Screening is one of our most fascinating and insightful in-clinic tools — and one that clients consistently describe as a truly eye-opening experience.

With just a tiny finger-prick of blood placed onto a glass slide, we can view your live blood cells in real time on a computer monitor — together, in your consultation. It’s a remarkable window into your inner world that goes far beyond what standard pathology results alone can tell us.

What Is Live Blood Screening?

Live Blood Screening (also known as Live Blood Analysis) involves placing a single drop of blood under a high-powered dark-field microscope. Because the blood is still alive at the time of viewing, we can observe the quality, shape, movement and behaviour of your blood cells — information that simply isn’t available from standard laboratory tests that analyse dried or preserved samples.

While conventional blood tests are incredibly valuable for measuring quantifiable levels of specific markers, live blood gives us a rich, qualitative picture of how your blood is functioning right now — a vital complement to any health investigation.

“I’ve been fascinated by what you can see through a microscope since I was ten years old, and after all these years, I’m still amazed by what our blood can reveal.”Sue Kira, Naturopath & Founder, True Vitality

What Can Live Blood Screening Reveal?

Live Blood Screening can offer valuable insights into a wide range of health areas, including:

  • Signs of infection — bacterial, fungal or parasitic indicators
  • Inflammation markers in the blood
  • Vitamin and mineral deficiencies — such as iron, B12 and folate
  • Immune system health and white blood cell activity
  • Liver health and congestion indicators
  • Allergies and food sensitivities — early signs and reactions
  • Digestive health — impaired digestion and leaky gut indicators
  • Increased clotting factors
  • Dehydration — the shape and stickiness of cells can reveal hydration status
  • Candida and yeast overgrowth
  • Oxidative stress — free radical activity visible in cell damage

Snapshots of your blood are taken during the session so we can keep them for comparison at future visits — allowing us to track your progress and see real, measurable change over time.

What to Expect During Your Live Blood Screening Session

Your Live Blood Screening takes place right here in the clinic as part of your consultation. Here’s how it works:

  1. A tiny finger-prick of blood is taken — quick and straightforward
  2. The sample is placed on a glass slide under the microscope
  3. We view your live blood together on the computer monitor in real time
  4. Sue will walk you through what she sees, explaining the various indicators and what they may mean for your health
  5. Images are captured for your records and future comparison

The whole process is gentle, non-invasive, and most clients find it genuinely fascinating. Many say it’s the most engaging health assessment they’ve ever had.

Why Live Blood Screening Is Such a Valuable Tool

One of the most powerful aspects of live blood analysis is how it can uncover subtle patterns and imbalances that may not yet be showing up dramatically on standard tests — giving us the opportunity to act early, before a condition becomes more serious.

Combined with other in-clinic assessments like Iridology, Sclerology and Urinalysis, as well as external functional laboratory testing, Live Blood Screening helps Sue build a complete, personalised picture of your health.

“Every person’s blood tells a different story. For me, it’s one of the most useful starting points for understanding what the body really needs.”Sue Kira, True Vitality

Frequently Asked Questions About Live Blood Screening

Is Live Blood Screening painful? Not at all. It involves only a tiny finger-prick — similar to a diabetic blood glucose test. Most clients barely notice it.

How long does it take? The screening is included as part of your initial consultation. Allow approximately 120-150 minutes for your first visit, which will also include a comprehensive health assessment, Iridology, sclerology and more.

How often should I have Live Blood Screening done? This varies depending on your health goals and any conditions we’re working on. Sue will advise you based on your individual needs. Many clients find regular comparisons motivating, as improvements in the blood can often be seen within weeks or months of making health changes.

Can I eat before my appointment? Yes, you can eat normally before your visit. However, if you’re also providing a urine sample on the day, please ensure it’s a first-morning, mid-stream sample brought with you from home.

Is this available for children? Yes. Live Blood Screening can be a particularly insightful tool for children, especially when investigating ongoing immune issues, allergies or digestive concerns, but only where the child is a willing participant to having a finger prick of blood taken.
